Well it has been a tradition that most of the mobile phones first get launched in other parts of the world like UK, USA, and Canada etc and then they come to Pakistan. Same is the case with Nokia N8 mobile phone. Though it has launched internationally but it is yet to come in Pakistan.

According to some recent reports the new Nokia N8 will soon get launched in Pakistan as well. The specs of Nokia N8 have already been discussed here in a previous post which shows that this phone is really an attractive one. It has a 12 mega pixels camera, wide screen, excellent display and many other attractive features for the customers which make this smart phone really better than others.

This smart phone will get launched in Pakistan under the contract between Nokia and Ufone. According to this contract only Ufone will have the rights to sale this new Nokia N8 for the first month throughout Pakistan. The pre-sales will also be done by Ufone which means Ufone will have a great chance of making huge profit with this new and exciting mobile phone for a whole month. The price of this cell phone in Pakistan is not yet confirmed as the price will be set by Ufone so that it could earn a sizable amount of profit as well. But it is hoped that as this cell phone has a 12 mega pixels camera and a lot of other exciting features the price of this cell phone in Pakistan will be higher.

Well it is good to see that Ufone has decided to bring this latest Nokia N8 to Pakistan otherwise people would have to wait for long to see such an attractive phone in Pakistan. I hope this new cell phone performs extra ordinarily better in Pakistan.

Telecommunication is the fastest growing industry in Pakistan and still it is growing with a great pace. Mobile phone subscribers in Pakistan have surpassed 99 million and still the number of users is growing day by day. Even though mobile phone is extensively used in Pakistan still mobile phone banking is not really famous. It is not that the banks do not offer such services but the mobile phone subscribers in Pakistan do not trust mobile phone banking completely.

Almost every bank in Pakistan is now providing mobile phone banking services to its customers but still they are unable to attract the customers towards mobile phone banking. People in Pakistan don’t even like to pay their bills through their mobile phones and avail the service which can save their useful time. There are a lot of reasons why mobile phone subscribers in Pakistan don’t go for mobile phone banking services. The very first reason is that people do not have complete information about the mobile phone banking. Even after watching ads on television and newspapers they are unable to understand it completely. Why they don’t understand mobile phone banking is because they are least interested in it.

The next and the most important reason is that people in Pakistan do not trust mobile phone banking and they fear to bear any loss due to it. Pakistan is a developing country, unemployment rate is high and a lot of people are living their life below the poverty line. So, people in Pakistan avoid any kind of financial risk and in the sake of avoiding a financial risk they avoid mobile phone banking.

Banks, Cellular Mobile Operating companies and PTA need to create more awareness among people that mobile phone banking is secure and beneficial as it saves a lot of useful time. Only then mobile phone banking could become famous in Pakistan other than that it will take a lot of time to make people understand mobile phone banking and attract them towards it.

Motorola is unfortunate to become the market leader in the cell phone industry but still over the years it has managed to attract a huge number of customers and it gives a tough competition to its competitors in a lot of markets around the world. To further compete with its competitors and to give them tough time Motorola has recently introduced a new smartphone called Motorola DEFY.

The new Motorola DEFY is a touchscreen mobile phone. It is not only an attractive smartphone but it is also a strong and durable mobile phone as it is dust and scratch resistant. Moreover, it is also water proof and can still work to its full capacity even after staying in water for a specific time. The other specs of this new Motorola DEFY are also quite attractive. It has a 3.7 inch Gorilla Glass display which is new to mobile phones and 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 2.1 OS and has a lot of new features and apps in it. It has 800 MHz processor, 512MB RAM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a 7.2MBP/s HSDPA modem, 2GB internal memory extendable with a Micro SD card and a 5 mega pixels camera with LED flash light.

We all know that social networking is what everybody is after now and staying connected to their favorite social network through mobile phones is what they want. The new Motorola DEFY therefore has MOTOBLUR in it which lets the users to stream their emails and social networks all into one feed with a secure backup.

Motorola DEFY is the new hope of Motorola to capture the largest market share and as it is really an attractive phone with attractive features I think it will definitely do good for Motorola in the cell phone industry. People all around the world including Pakistan really love touchscreen smartphones but they want them to be strong and durable and this is what they will get in Motorola DEFY.

Pakistan is currently under severe conditions due to the natural disasters of flood and it’s after affects. People have lost their homes and there is shortage of food, pure water and other necessities of life. Soon this shortage is to hit the urban areas of the country as well. Different products will become really expensive but one thing which you will still get in bundles in cheaper rates is the SMS bundle packages for you mobile phone connection.

Yes it is true because Pakistan stands among those countries where the SMS service is really cheap. All the Cellular Mobile Operator’s provide different SMS bundle packages to their customers. These packages are not mandatory but they are so much attractive that mobile phone users cannot stay without activating one in their mobile phone connection. Offering SMS bundle packages is a race now and every day we see Warid, Ufone, Mobilink, Telenor and Zong coming up with different SMS bundle offers.

These SMS bundle offers are both good and bad for the mobile phone subscribers in Pakistan. The good part is this that people can communicate easily with each other through text messaging on cheaper rates and the bad part is that the youth of Pakistan is wasting a lot of time on it. They cannot concentrate on their studies and they take less interest in sports and other activities due to which their IQ level is also declining.

Ever since the SMS bundle packages race started, a big revolution has been experienced in the telecommunication industry of Pakistan and the CMO’s have earned and they are still making a lot of money through these packages. But what do you think? Are they really beneficial for the nation or they are a distraction for the youth of Pakistan?

Ad war means to make ads against the competitor’s product. Making such ads started from countries like U.S and UK but the trend has now become famous in Pakistan as well. It looks really interesting to watch such ads as they are funny but what after affects they can have is really something we should think about.

There are a lot of companies in Pakistan which make ads against their competitors but the ones made by the cellular mobile operating companies in Pakistan are what we are going to discuss here. The CMO’s used to make ads which showed that their product is better than the competitor but they were indirect. Now they have started making ads against each other which directly criticize the other Mobile Operating Company. This unethical trend was started by Zong after its launch and still it continues to make such ads. Later other CMO’s also adopted this advertising method of making ads against the competitors.

Ufone is somehow an exception as it usually comes up with ads which are funny and based on creative ideas but it also sometimes directly criticizes the services of other cell phone operating companies in Pakistan. Even Mobilink which is the market leader and Telenor which is equipped with the most latest and updated technology use these kinds of ads to attract customers.

Ads like these are really funny and interesting and they are considered to play some role in increasing the sales of the cell phone operating companies by attracting customers of other competitors but it is really something to think about that at one place they all are entering into MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with each other for bringing more improvement in the industry and services provided to the customers whereas at another point they are making ads against each other and making fun of other network’s services and packages to show that their own services and packages are better.

This ad war between the cellular operating companies in Pakistan is really a major issue. This could affect the overall industry growth, customer’s confidence and can create serious issues among the CMO’s in Pakistan. I think Pakistan Telecommunication Authority needs to take some serious action against this ad war between the CMO’s in Pakistan for the benefit of the industry. Moreover, the CMO’s need to understand that there are a lot of other attractive and ethical ways to capture the attention of the cell phone users in Pakistan.

Telecom Industry is the fastest growing industry in Pakistan. PTA also confirmed more than 99 million mobile phone subscribers in Pakistan a few days back. Being an active industry everyday thousands of mobile phones are sold and purchased in the cell phone market of Pakistan. While purchasing a cell phone you should always buy one which is in warranty.

If you are looking to buy any cell phone in Pakistan then try to buy it in Mobile Zone or United Mobiles warranty. Both these cell phone companies are really good and they provide excellent services if any technical problem comes in the mobile phone. Their customer services are good and they have technical skills available to resolve all the problems with the mobile phone within a given time. Most of the people living in Pakistan prefer to buy second hand or used mobile phones. They buy them because they want a good cell phone in low price. Some of the phones which people buy are not in warranty as they have come from abroad whereas warranty of others have expired.

People who buy cell phones without warranty feel good that they have bought a cell phone in cheaper price but they really face a tough time when their occurs a technical problems with their cell phone. They then have to take it to the mobile phone repairing centers in their near vicinity and sometimes have to pay a lot to get their mobile phones fixed. Even after spending a lot of money the mobile phone gives the same problem as the ordinary cell phone repairers do not possess the skills to perfectly fix the mobile phone. This brings the overall cost of the mobile phone equal to that of buying a brand new mobile phone with the warranty of MZ or United Mobiles.

Therefore, if you are looking to purchase a cell phone, then buy it with the warranty of MZ or United Mobiles in Pakistan because they are the best and the most reliable cell phone companies.

Recent report by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority confirms that the total number of cell phone users in Pakistan have crossed the mark of 99 million in fiscal year 2010. Compared to the last year the number of cell phone subscribers has increased up to 5 percent. Such an increase is really favorable for the economy of Pakistan.

The fiscal year 2010 was a tough one for the cell phone operating companies in Pakistan as the competition between them has really gained momentum. All the cell phone companies are always planning new and different strategies to gather the market share. They offer different packages in the market to attract new customers and retain the older ones. The major issue mobile phone operating companies faced this fiscal year was that of clearing in-active subscribers. Zong cleared more than 300,000 in-active subscribers, Ufone cleared 0.5 million of them and Warid cleared almost 1 million in-active subscribers.

According to the PTA’s report Mobilink is the market leader with 32.47% market share. Other cellular mobile operators share in the market is Telenor 23.99%, Ufone 19.71%, Warid 17.07% and Zong 6.76% respectively. Out of all the cellular companies in Pakistan Warid is the one whose market share has reduced by almost 2 percent. The reason Warid lost its market share is more attractive bundle packages offered by other cell phone operating companies.

There are still 40 percent people in the country which do not use a mobile phone. This means the telecom industry in Pakistan still has a long way to go. The call rates and SMS rates in Pakistan are already very low and this competition between the CMO’s in Pakistan to attract the remaining 40 percent will further bring exciting offers and rates for the Pakistani’s.

According to some recent reports all the five cellular mobile operating companies in Pakistan namely Mobilink, Jazz, Warid, Telenor and Zong have signed a memorandum of understanding with PTA on infrastructure sharing.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has signed this memorandum of understanding with all the Cellular Mobile Operators (CMO’s) because it wants to increase the overall industry lease ration to a specific mark and to increase the pace of infrastructure sharing among all the cell phone operators in the country. All the parties associated to this MoU expect it to bring various benefits for the telecom industry, for the customers and for the cellular companies as well.

All the CMO’s have agreed to follow a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the technical and commercial consideration. PTA, within its jurisdictions will facilitate the whole process of infrastructure sharing. According to the MoU all the telecom industry players in Pakistan are hoped to make commercial arrangements powerful and increase the overall industry lease ration to 1.5 within the next 3 years with untiring collective efforts.

Well it really looks interesting that all the cellular mobile operators of Pakistan have come to a single platform to support the industry. I wonder if they all can also join hands together to bring 3G network services in Pakistan. If it happens then the telecom industry of Pakistan will definitely reach new height. But so far it looks like nothing such is going to happen because the cost of the 3G spectrum is really high and the cellular mobile operating companies fear that they won’t be able to recover their investment. Whatever the reason is the truth is that the Pakistani mobile phone users are still waiting for the 3G services.

Where ordinary users of mobile phones have reduced the use of desktop computer and laptops there the business persons have also shown an inclination towards the mobile phones. Blackberry stands among the businesspersons as the most favorite business phone.

We all know that people involved in different businesses have to travel a lot. And what is important for them is to keep all their important data with them and stay connected to important business clients through calls and emails. A recent analysis showed that the business persons who have a Blackberry with them do not care about carrying a laptop while traveling. Why they do so? A simple answer to it is that Blackberry has become a single platform for them to conduct all their business activities.

Let us see what features of a Blackberry phone are attractive for a businessman. The first and the most interesting feature in a Blackberry for the business persons is the advanced wireless technology which provides them the email facility with high security. The push email facility and high security provided is really impressive as it securely integrates with Microsoft® Exchange or IBM Lotus® Domino™. Triple DES or AES encryption provides secure communication. This feature has really become famous for sending mails and traveling data. Apart from this Blackberry is liked by them because it saves a lot of time. They can easily access their e-mails, calls, time sensitive information, intranet-based applications and software development tools.

Blackberry has international acceptance and its services work almost all around the world. The users of blackberry mobile phones can access information much faster than the tradition USB as it is Intel processor and blue tooth enabled. Apart from all this Blackberry phones have excellent storage capacity and great standby life of up to 17 days. Blackberry is surely something amazing for the business people.
