BlackBerry Torch 9800 brings RIM back in competition
BlackBerry is one of the favorite cell phones of business people. It is still liked by many but people have now started to move towards other smartphones launched by Nokia, Motorola and Apple. To stay alive in the crowded market of cell phones BlackBerry therefore has launched the new BlackBerry 9800 Torch.
The new BlackBerry Torch 9800 is a touchscreen slide out QWERTY keyboard smartphone. It is for the people who like to have a touchscreen smartphone and for those who need a QWERTY keyboard mobile phone. BlackBerry 9800 Torch offers 3.2-in, 480×360 resolution touch display. Its size is 2.4 x 0.57 x 4.4 inches and its weight is 5.7 oz. When the slide is opened the length of the cell phone reaches to 5.8 inches. The phone is easy to handle and is small in size to fit in a pocket comfortably. This new BlackBerry 9800 has BlackBerry 6 O.S which makes it much better than the previous BlackBerry smartphones. It also has new WebKit-based browser, universal search and auto-wrap text zoom features.
Other than that it has enhanced multimedia features, 5 mega pixel camera and extendable memory through the Micro SD card. With the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 you can stay connected to social networking website like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace all at a time. The new BlackBerry Torch 9800 is really something different by Research in Motion (RIM) after a long while. RIM believes that this new cell phone can give some competition to Apple iPhone and other touchscreen smartphones by Nokia, Samsung, LG and Motorola but it is more likely to retain the BlackBerry lovers. It will be really interesting to see how this new BlackBerry Torch 9800 performs in the market at the time when competition in the cell phone industry is tough and the BlackBerry services are banned in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
